Normal Voltage + 3 Beeps Connection correct. Ready to start. Proceed to start your engine normally.
E01 Reverse Polarity: Clamps are connected backward. Swap the red and black clamps immediately.
E02 Short Circuit: Clamps are touching each other or connected to the same metal. Separate the clamps and ensure they only touch their respective battery terminals.
E03 Over-Temperature: Device temperature exceeds 65°C / 149°F. Move the unit to a cool area and wait approximately 20 minutes before reuse.
E04 Under-Temperature: Device temperature is below -30°C / -22°F. Bring the device indoors and allow it to warm up before operation.
E05 Low Battery: Remaining power is below 10%. Charge the jump starter for at least 30 minutes before attempting another jump start.
No Display 1. Vehicle battery is below 0.5V.

2. Device has entered deep sleep mode.
Option A: Charge for 5 minutes and press the power button.

Option B: Use Force Start Mode (see instructions below).

⚠️ IMPORTANT: How to Use Force Start Mode

If your vehicle battery is severely depleted (below 0.5V) or the jump starter enters deep sleep mode, the display may remain blank. Follow these steps:

  1. Connect the clamps to the battery terminals (double-check polarity).
  2. Turn on the jump starter and hold the power button for over 5 seconds.
  3. Release the button once the screen lights up and you hear a "click" sound.
❌ CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING

Force Start Mode completely disables the built-in reverse polarity and short-circuit protection systems. Incorrect operation may permanently damage the jump starter, the vehicle electrical system, or create a serious safety hazard.

Always verify that RED (+) and BLACK (-) clamps are connected correctly before activating Force Start Mode.

FAQ

Everything you need to know about your SAFEMATE jump starter.

How do I Know If This Jump Starter is Compatible with My Vehicle?
Compatibility depends on your vehicle's engine size (liters) and fuel type (Gas or Diesel). We offer a wide range of models tailored for everything from compact cars to heavy-duty trucks. To find the perfect match for your specific vehicle, please visit our Recommended Page where you can enter your vehicle details for an instant recommendation.
Can This Device Jump-Start a Battery with 0V or Extremely Low Voltage?
Yes. This jump starter supports starting batteries with voltage levels ranging from 0V to 12.6V, including completely dead batteries when using the Force Start function.
Can I Use It in Winter at -20°C?
Yes, absolutely. However, for the best performance in severe cold conditions, we highly recommend warming the unit inside your jacket or near the vehicle heater for several minutes before use. Extreme temperatures naturally reduce lithium battery discharge performance. For your safety, the device features built-in Under-Temperature Protection (Error Code E04) and automatically shuts down below -30°C (-22°F).
What is the USB Output Capability? Can it Fast-Charge My iPhone or Laptop?
Absolutely. This device features a powerful 40W USB-C fast charging input/output port. It functions as a high-speed portable power bank capable of rapidly charging:
  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • Android smartphones
  • Tablets
  • Compatible USB-C laptops
making it an ideal emergency power source while traveling.
How Long Can This Device Hold a Charge When Stored in My Car?
Thanks to our advanced low self-discharge technology, this jump starter can retain its charge for up to 12 months. However, because vehicle storage temperatures vary significantly, we strongly recommend recharging the device every 3–6 months to ensure it is always ready for emergencies.
Is It Safe to Use? Will It Spark When I Connect the Clamps?
Yes. The SAFEMATE smart jumper clamps feature advanced Spark-Proof technology. Even if the clamps accidentally touch each other or are connected improperly, the system automatically prevents:
  • Sparks
  • Short circuits
  • Reverse polarity damage
  • Electrical hazards
providing a safe and worry-free jump-starting experience.
